The platform role lets you choose between three types: single, server, or client. Use single for a standalone store and server/client to configure multiple stores with multiple warehouses.
In single mode you don’t need additional settings. You can start working with your local WooCommerce products.
When enabled, remote actions won’t perform write operations; orders will not be created.
When the site acts as an API, it needs a warehouse name as a unique identifier so the remote site knows which warehouse it is communicating with. It must be authorized on the remote site.

For other sites to register orders they must configure a warehouse name that must be authorized here; otherwise the remote warehouse will not be able to work with local stock.
